Okay, let’s be frank for ourselves for a minute, all right? I am sure many of you have had homework to get done but instead ended up scrolling down your phone through social media like a mindless soul. Am I right? Or maybe some chores were waiting for you in front of you. For the sake of your reputation, you walked past it and went over to your friend’s party.

“The procrastinating doesn’t get the most, doing what you know you need to be doing, actually does,” — Karen Moon

Obliterate those moments because starting from today: you will take action and never look back at those moments where you procrastinated. So let’s get to the five things that will help you have a much more productive and sustainable life. Presenting the five solutions for your dawdling:

Solution #1: Keep your task in front of you

It may be a study or a guitar that you are striving to accomplish: but whatever it is you’re trying to conclude: make it more uncomplicated to get to it. If you keep your homework inside a rucksack, take it out and placed it neatly on your workspace. Keep your workspace as clean and neat as possible so it won’t discourage you not to do it and turn the contrary way. The next day you awaken up, you’ll see it, and there’s no justification left for you not to do it.

1) Make it easier for your task to get to and complete

It may sound a bit ridiculous, but this attitude could transform how you operate. If it takes more flashes ticking for your mind to get to your commitment, the more time your soul times have to divert you. What if you had to go through you’re haphazard backpack searching for that one piece of paper that holds your homework. Wouldn’t you leave it and do something much more enjoyable? I am confident you will.

Reading this through a pandemic, we are doing everything digitally: you don’t have papers to worry about: I just wanted to give you a more physical example. Replaced by the problems of notepaper are files and documents. It is very straightforward to get fatigued when sitting in front of a computer and tell yourself that you’ll do it tomorrow (believe me, I am a student myself). But this can cause future problems because, as a result, it will cause you to be stuck with a mountain of weight on your back.

What you should do to mend this is to download Google Chrome if you have not already. Just to acquaint you, it’s the speediest software than every other. From my expertise, it’s been transcendent.

Let say you already know what tomorrow’s work is: proceed to your work link and click on the star on the top right (if it turns blue, you did it). Then when you open your software, it will at the top, daring you to work on it, and it reduces the time to think and stop yourself. After you’ve completed that work and turned it in, you can click on the blue star again so your google chrome bookmark bar won’t become saturated with hundreds of bookmark

You might have realized that at the beginning of this article, I said that someone might have walked past the chores that were in front of them to go to their friend’s party; that’s why the next solution requires doing for this one to work: read on!

Solution #2: Ponder Of The Upshot

We, humans, don’t consider the future when we’re in the present. We will appraise it most than what we’ll do tomorrow. To change this, we must take a moment to think clearly, ask ourselves, what would happen if I didn’t do this?

What would happen if I didn’t do this? How would it change my life? Look at the big picture!

The next time you have some task you have to get done, stop for a moment before procrastinating and ask yourself these questions:

  • What would happen if I waited longer?
  • How will this affect my route?
  • What would this mean to you’re career/life?
  • What would the result be?

In the example of the person walking right past their chores, their consequence would be a messy house, depressing environment, and most likely more procrastination. This person would probably be much more apprehensive after we have answered all these questions. They would likely stop and start completing their chores.

Solution #3: Stop Perfectionism!

Lots of people fear that they won’t complete the duty flawlessly. Instead of completing the task, they lay it off as long as they can. The more the trepidation, the more you will procrastinate and stay away from tasks you are supposed to complete.

According to the National Institute of Mental Health, they estimated that of all Americans, 12.5 percent does experience a type of phobia. Like in this example, Atelophobia (the fear of not being perfect).

When thinking about yourself, you might think of all the problems and flaws you have, but think of this when you’re criticizing yourself: many people successful people still doubt themselves but, when they do, they use it for granted. They use it as motivation to work on their problems. As they do, they get stronger and learn their self-worth. You can do it too!

Stop trying to be perfect. Be as messy and creative as possible because that is when the light will shine at the end of the tunnel.

As a fantasy novel writer, I have heard loads of times the advice: write the first draft as imaginative and disordered as conceivable, yep, even the piece of art you do not think is good enough! More than enough people cope with this, but I promise you, you are capable of overcoming Atelophobia.

Think again if you doubt yourself because I believe in you!

It is troublesome taking action, I comprehend, but the best way to get commitments fulfilled is by taking action and, I believe that there is this strong burning ambition in you that primed to blast. Just as you do, you will illuminate more quick-witted than ever.

You can do anything if you set your mind to it!

Peace out,
Karen Moon (your believer)
